Homemade Diaper Cream

Here's my recipe for diaper cream. I apply it each diaper change. It protects my son's bottom and makes poop wipe off easier. This cream is cloth diaper safe, and helps prevent diaper rash. Did I mention it's also cheap to make?

1/2 c Coconut oil
1-2 Tbsp Beeswax (more in summer, less in winter)
1-2 Tbsp zinc oxide powder (non nano)
Vitamin E oil
10 drops Essential oil (optional): chamomile, calendula, or lavender.

Melt in double boiler and blend or whisk. Then add essential oils if you want. GSE can be added for treating yeast, or tea tree oil for healing an open sore, but only use a couple drops of either of these!
Allow to cool completely in a jar. It sets firm, but melts onto baby's bottom. You could make some for your own hands or body without the zinc oxide (a skin protectant). It is also effective on eczema.
